Baker and Emily Mayfield Foundation Partners with International Justice Mission for NFL’s 2024 My Cause My Cleats
The Baker & Emily Mayfield Foundation is proud to announce its partnership with International Justice Mission (IJM) for the 2024 NFL My Cause My Cleats initiative.
This collaboration will shine a spotlight on IJM’s mission to end human trafficking and violence against vulnerable individuals worldwide. Baker Mayfield, quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, will wear custom cleats during the Buccaneers’ game on December 8, 2024, at Raymond James Stadium against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Mayfield's cleats, designed to embody "FREE TO BE," represent a powerful collaboration between IJM’s fight to bring freedom to those affected by trafficking and the Baker & Emily Mayfield Foundation's commitment to empowering others to BE their best selves. Following the game, the cleats will be auctioned through the NFL’s My Cause My Cleats program, and all proceeds will be donated to IJM on behalf of the Baker & Emily Mayfield Foundation.
“We believe that everyone deserves to live free from fear and exploitation, and partnering with IJM allows us to support their life-changing work in the fight against human trafficking,” said Emily Mayfield.
Using my platform to support causes that truly make a difference is something I take great pride in,” shared Baker Mayfield. “Partnering with IJM for My Cause My Cleats is an opportunity to bring attention to the devastating reality of human trafficking and support the incredible work being done to combat it. Together, we can help create a world where freedom and justice prevail for everyone.”
IJM is the largest international anti-trafficking organization in the world, operating in over 30 countries to rescue victims, hold perpetrators accountable, and transform broken justice systems. With millions of people trapped in modern-day slavery, IJM’s mission is both urgent and essential.
In addition to Baker's support of IJM on the field with MCMC, Emily Mayfield supports IJM's Dressember campaign, a global fashion based anti-trafficking movement. Dressember has inspired hundreds of thousands to leverage the power of their platforms to help end the global human trafficking trade. This fashion challenge has raised over $20 million USD to combat human trafficking. The Mayfields are excited to make it a family affair during the MCMC weekend.
Former NFL player and IJM Team Freedom Director Mark Herzlich said, “We are incredibly grateful for Baker and Emily using their unique platforms to share about IJM and Dressember because it means that thousands more people will learn about IJM’s work combating human trafficking and violence. Their support is critical as we work towards a world where all are free.”
